Moth Club, E9 6NU , [Venue Details]I'm (Mr. Beale) a singer/songwriter/producer based in London. Mixing field recordings collected on walks with a tonne of knotty rhythms and hooks, the tracks often feature mine and my mums clarinet.
From a choral/classical background I jumped into a four-piece bedroom disco band while featuring on deep house and soul producers’ Demuja, Gratts & KaySoul tracks. My independent style really came together on a solo residency in Lapland in the Arctic. The severe isolation and dreamy landscapes shaped new instrumentals as I began to try and combine elements of my sound piece practice with jazz - pop vocals. Of a big assortment, influences include Pip Millet, Aphex Twin, Nia Archives and jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald.
